What’s your role in EMB?
Postdoctoral Research Associate

What are you currently working on?
I currently work on a project aiming to design and develop a minimalist shoe preventing falls in older people. My responsibility is to design, set-up, conduct and complete a biomechanics research study evaluating
the effects of several prototypes of a minimalist shoe on postural and dynamic stability in older people at risk of falls.

How and why did you get into your current research?
My current research allows me to continue my interest in the concept of stability and expand my previous work in knee joint stability in people with knee osteoarthritis to gait stability in older people at risk of falls.
